6. The Atomium was constructed for the 1958 World's Fair. The monument was built to honor the metals industry and celebrate the atomic age 
7. I picked this building, because when I first saw it, I thought that the building itself had a cool shape. I also wanted to pick something that sounded creative, so when I read "Atomium" I got interested. Since it said "Atomium", I wondered what it was made out of. I also saw that it was in Belgium, so I knew that is wasn't going to be ordinary, since it is a cool place.

1. The architect of this building is Santiago Calatrava
2. Construction started in February 14th, 2001 and it opened in August 27th, 2005.
3. It is located in Malmo, Sweden
4. This is a landmark anyone can visit
5. It took 1600 million dollars to build it
6. It resembles a human twisting spine. Santiago wanted to add a new piece/ monument where people could visit.
7. I chose this building, because when I read the title, at first, I was curios on what it could be because it said turning torso. When I searched it up, I was intrigued that the building was actually twisted. I got interested in how a building that is twisted could actually stand for itself.

3. It is located in Rotterdam, Netherlands

7. I chose this building, first of all, because of the name. When I saw that it said cubic houses, I immediately searched it up, because I was curious to see if they were actually houses in shapes of cubes. Another reason I decided to do this building, because I was interested to read more about how in the world this was possible to do and how it was physically done.

3. It is located in Quebec, Montreal

6. This was designed for Moshes architecture and urbanism program
7. I chose this building, because of how it is built and the design. This is not an ordinary building, because it is in a very unique shape, which is another reason why I chose to do this. The last reason I chose to do this building is because I wanted to know a little more about the structure.

La Pedrera aka Casa Mila, Spain
1. The architects of this building are Antoni Gaudi and Josep Maria

3. It is located in Barcelona, Spain

6. This was the last private residence that Antoni Gaudi built (was made like a museum).
7. I chose this building, because the name of it "La Pedrera" sounds like the rock in English so it sounded interesting. Another reason I chose this is because it is located in Spain and I have always wanted to go to Spain. I was also curious of how the building would look like since it sounded like rock in English.
